Rawlings Denies he “Cussed.”
At the county jail yesterday afternoon J.G. Rawlings said that he had not been trying to play crazy but that he had acted badly, he knew. He said that he felt that the condition under which he was living justified him in getting in a bad humor occasionally, though he wanted it understood that he had not been profane.
He said that he had expressed his regret to the officials at his conduct.
