THE NOVEMBER TERM OF THE SUPREME COURT
The November term of the superior court convened at ten o’clock this morning with Judge R.G. Mitchell presiding. The charge to the grand jury was delivered, and the court was promptly organized for business. Mr. Howard Harris was appointed foreman of the grand jury, and Mr. W.D. Peeples was selected as secretary.
The divorce docket was addressed, and several divorces were granted. This session is expected to be a busy one, with one of the key matters being the resentencing of J.G. Rawlings and his sons, whose request for a new trial was denied by the supreme court.
